Hiking Around Pokhar and kathmandu

Day 1: Welcome at Kathmandu Airport
We will meet you at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel. When you have had your time to settle in and freshen up after your long fight, you will be invited to visit our office for a briefing about your program. 

Day 2: A full day recreational tour of Kathmandu, the capital valley
The very next morning, after breakfast you will be taken for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You will visit center of pilgrimage Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient and enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites. The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhnath and the fine arts and historical architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square takes you to the ancient Nepalese culture. On journey back to hotel, you can explore the local areas, gullies and lifestyle.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara
After having your breakfast, we will drive you to the Domestic Airport to take a 25 minutes flight to Pokhara. Or if you wish you can take a Tourist bus to Pokhara about 6-7 hour drive exploring & enjoying with scenic beauty all the way around. In the evening, a boating trip on Phewa Lake will be followed where you can enjoy the spectacular views of Annapurna Himalaya Range reflected in all its glory in the calm green water of the lake.

Take a 30min drive to roadside shacks of Phedi. The start of the trail heads up the hill on a set of steps across the road. The main part of Dhampus valley is on the top of the ridge, more than 500m above. The area is inhabited by Brahmins, Chettri and few Gurungs. Crossing the dirt road a couple of times and stone staircases makes the trail more adventuring. The spectacular panoramic view of Annapurna Himalayan range makes your overnight camping much greater.

Day 5:Dhampus to Sarangkot (1720m) 
Today we wake up very early in the morning for the stunning sunrise view over the mountains and the amazing Himalaya range. The trail descends down crossing the Dhampus River and again ascends gradually through the fields of Paddy and small forest to Naudanda Village. We have our lunch here in this village and work for 3 hrs through the Chettri and Brahmins Villages to Sarangkot. Sarangkot offers superb Himalayan panorama consisting of the mighty peaks such as the Annapurna, Himalchhuli, Machhapuchhare, and Lamjung Himal. Spend your night here.
Day 6: Sarangkot to Pokhara
We will wake you up in the early morning and hike to Sarangkot tower to witness the sunrise over the White Mountains of Whole Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges including fishtail. After having our breakfast back in the Hotel we commence our trek along the way down hill to Pokhara. During this hike we may see mountains view and local villages, local people and way of life style. The terrace of rice is wonderful. We will have our lunch after we reach the beautiful city Pokhara. Rest of the day we will just have a leisurely walk over the streets and spend the night in Hotel.

Day 7:Full day sight seeing of Pokhara City
Pokhara is another famous destination of Nepal; a dreamland to be called. Early in the morning we can take a taxi to the village of Sarangkot set high above Pokhara on a ledge. Here you will be able to view the beautiful sunrise as it spreads slowly across the spectacular snowcapped Himalaya mountain ranges. After lunch visit famous David's fall, the Tibetan refugees' camp, Mahendra cave and ancient museum. You can also visit very uniquely constructed World Peace Stupa. In the evening, a boating trip on Phewa Lake will be followed where you can enjoy the spectacular views of Annapurna Himalaya Range reflected in all it's glory in the calm green water of the lake and visit Bindavasini Temple lying in middle of the lake.



At the evening you can have your last night in Nepal enjoying the Nepali cultural dinner show, taking some beautiful snaps and making up your mind for the returning journey. You can have a greetings exchanging among friends and buy some souvenirs.

Day 9: NAGARKOT-Kathmandu

Day 10 : Kathmandu – Departure

Traditional costume of Nepal Talking about traditional costume of Nepal it would be right to say not "costume" but "costumes" because though Nepal is a small country there are many ethnic groups living here and each group has their unique traditional dress. I will tell about a few that I find most interesting. The Newars . This ethnic group has many different styles of dress among themselves but there is one common thing - they prefer combinations of black and red colours. The most common seen Newar woman's dress is the   hakku potashi , a black sari with red borders. Young girls wear it knee level,  but older women prefer to completely cover their legs. The sari is complimented by a white   patuka  wrapped aroud the waist and a cotton shawl wrapped diagonally over the blouse.
