ASAR 15 : Festival for Rice planting - is the day of climax of rice planting.

Ropain Festival, also known as Asar 15, is celebrated mostly by farmers of the Terai and Inner-Terai regions of Nepal to mark the day they plant new seedlings of rice crop of the year in their paddies. Almost all farmers take the day as the climax for rice cultivation. Farmer use to be very busy during the days for preparation and cultivation of rice. Rice is the major and stable food for Nepalese and other south Asian people. They use to be very busy. Farmers consider the day as the day for growing quintle by planting kilos. People celebrate the day as the festival . They go to field, play with the mud and water, plant rice and eats the rice with yoghurt. Young and youth share the songs and love. We also invite tourists to join the celebrations of the day.
