Tourists entering Langtang and Gosainkunda for tourism season

Rasuwa, March 19: Tourists have started entering the trekking routes in the Langtang and Gosainkunda for this year’s tourism season. Chief Conservation Officer of Langtang National Park, Yuvraj Regmi, said that tourists have started coming in with the start of the year’s second season. The first season for tourism is believed to be from September to December while the second season is between February to May. The steady flow of tourists has allowed around 22 million rupees in royalties to be collected from August 2017 till now. At least 100 tourists daily are expected to visit from February to May. A total of 1,539 tourists have entered the national park since August, with 119 from the SAARC nations and 6,420 tourists from America, Japan, Germany, France, and Israel. A total of 11,068 tourists visited the park in the last economic year. Hotel owner from Chandanbari, Subba Lama, says that hotels and lodges damaged in the earthquake have been repaired so trekkers
