But while buying it, be sure that the ankle cuff isn’t too high, as it can cause pain to your feet. Just make sure your shoes are all right and aren’t broken off anywhere. If there are holes or any damages at the soles of your shoes, chances are high that you get blisters during your trip. Purchase your shoes in the afternoon so that your feet are at the fully stretched shape and you get the perfect size for them.

Best quality socks
While your shoe gets much of your attention, do not forget to buy proper socks to wear on your trip. Right shoes with wrong socks will ruin your trip, so when buying your shoes, also get yourself some good socks to use for your trip. Look for socks made with materials that have sweat absorbing properties. Or look for socks that are resistant to water. Coolmax, Gore-Tex, Smartwool, Thorlo etc. will be good for trekknig.

It is essential that you practice to travel the kind of distance that will travelling while making your trip. Initially, train yourself to walk with a day of rest, but as feel your fitness improving, think to combine some of the regular days of training in a more tangible way.

Train your foot for the rugged terrain and uneven landscape
Running is a very good form of training but it is also important that you try running in uneven terrains; i.e. the landscapes that you’ll experience during your trip. A good way to train yourself is to go on hiking trips nearby where you can find uneven landscapes. Not just one, but try to go hiking on a regular basis, at least once to twice a week. Practice hiking with the same shoes or the type of shoes that you intend to wear during your trekking journey. The same can be said about the socks and clothes as well.
