Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Katmandu, transfer to hotel, brief about trip.
After being warmly greeted by a representative at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and completing the custom formalities (Visa, etc), you need to check for our representative of Sherpa Guide Nepal  with a display board at the arrival gate. You will be then guided to the hotel. 

Day 02: Kathmandu to Jagat by Bus/Jeep (13004m) 8 hour.
Today,  Drive 8 hour by Bus/Jeep to Jagat. We will stop for lunch on the way.  The road is not peached about 14 kilometers.  Overnight Lodge in Jagat 1300m.

Day 03: Trekking Jagat to Dharapani (1860m) 6 hour
Today, we move on from Jagat and our trail passes a sequence of waterfalls amidst a forest that becomes more temperate with oaks as you travel onward Chamche village. An ascent from Chamche village brings you to a lake at 1707 meters. Long ago a landslide blocked the river here, forming a lake. Only its flatbed remains today, with a magnificent waterfall. From here the Manang district begins. Continue trek, the valley begins narrow again and you are at Dharapani 1860 m. Here is a police check post and the people of here are mostly Tibetans and Mananges.

Day 04: Trekking Dharapani to Chame (2715m.)
This day we walk for 6-7 hours to reach Chame from Dharapani. Chame is a district head quarter of Manang District, you will see the changing vegetation, people and the landscapes too changes and the air will gets cooler, the path then climb all the way through pine forests to Bagarchhap, the first village on the trek with distinctive Tibetan architecture. After a enjoyable walk to Bagarchhap, the altitude slowly gains as we come at Danaque and to the alpine region passing through farm, orchards and beautiful pine forest with views of towering peaks of Lamjung and Annapurna II, the trail follows the river Marsyangdi upstream passing by the villages of Latamanang and Koto before further half an hour brings you at Chame for overnight at the hotel. You will have a first striking view of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal from here.
Day 05: Trekking Chame to Pisang (3185m.)
From Chame, the trail heads off from the other side of the river on the northern bank passing through pine woods and small villages with few ups and downs till you reach the orchard village of Bhartang, a village of apple garden. Then, we continue on the gradual path up to a bridge, from the bridge a short steep climb through the pine forest brings you at the top of the ridge of Dhukure Pokhari for the lunch. After walking out of the tree line, a great view of Pisang peak on the north and the Chulu peak can be seen with Pisang village. From this top a gentle descent of one hour brings you to windswept village of Pisang for overnight. Explore Pisang villages and its riverside and overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Trekking Pisang to Manang (3350m.)
We, today move down to Pisang village and keep on walking towards Manang valley. We now, take a steady climb up for half an hour for reaching the top, stop at a ridge to get our first view of the Manang valley. This inspiring mark offers a splendid views of the valleys, Humde village with its short air-strip and the great peaks of Gangapurna, Annapurna II, III, Tilicho and on the right Chulu east, on the back Pisang peak. The walk moves further to Humde and pleasant walk up to the Braga village for conventionally built up Tibetans style of houses. From here flora changes, you will notice a contrast of landscape and dry mountain hills. From Bhratang, half an hour walk reaches to Manang for the overnight.

Day 07: Manang (Acclimatization Day in Manang)
This is an acclimatization day and to rest as well as explore Manang. Manang is the village of about 500 flat-roofed houses which is the arresting set surrounded by some fabulous scenery -Annapurna II, Annapurna III (7,555 meters), Gangapurna (7,454 meters) to the South - Tilicho (7,132 meters) and the Grand Barrier to the West - Chulu West (6,583 meters) and Chulu East (6,059 meters) to the North. 

Day 08: Trekking Manang to Yak Kharka
From Manang, our route leads to a slow mount for an hour to the Tenki Manang for observing the view of the Annapurna, Gangapurna and Tilicho peak. The track tenderly winds up offering exciting views and through terrains with juniper bushes as the only surviving vegetation around this region and will brings you at Yak-Kharka for the overnight.

Day 09: Trekking Yak Kharka to Thorung Phedi/ High Camp
We begin our hike with slow pace to Phedi which means 'foot of the hill'. We still have same incredible view of mountains and background. After an hour walk, we reach at Ledar and continue to climb along the east bank of the Jorsang Khola, and then move down and cross the stream on a wooden bridge to get a small tea shop. We stop for amazing view and tea breaks, we follows a narrow path across a high, unstable slope before heading to Thorung Phedi for the overnight.

Day 10: Trekking Thorung Phedi/High Camp to Muktinath (3800m.)
We today, have longest and tough day of the whole trip. We begin our walk early in the morning; today the track becomes steepest firstly and reaches at high camp. Walk on your own pace viewing with sunrise and sight of the mountains. We continuously walk to the top takes 3-4 hrs to the Throng top and with a great feeling of victory take a short breaks for picturesque scenery and down to the Mustang part of mountains and the Kaligandaki valley far below to the West. Lastly, we made to Muktinath after 7-8 hrs. long walk and overnight at lodge.

Day 11: Trek Muktinath to Jomsom (2750m) 
Continuing our descend enjoying the view of Mustang valley, gradually towards Jharkot, which is another traditional village with flat roofed houses (Tibetan style) and lot of green fields. The trail continues descending to Kagbeni for about two and half hours. Kagbeni (2800m), located near the Kali Gandaki river, is a very interesting medieval village with stone houses, narrow alleys, green fields and view of the high mountains. Kagbeni is gateway of legendary Mustang and Lo Monthang.

Day 12: Jomsom to Tatopani by bus or jeep. (1100m) 4 hour drive.
On this day, we drive for about 5 hours from jomsom to Tatopani. We drive through the beautiful rural community of overwhelmed houses and abundant grasslands. Following the Kali Gandaki River, we arrive at the old trading centre of Thakali people called Tukuche. We can observe the Himalayan rain dusk, coniferous forests and reach Kalopani (2560m). The drive continues from Kalopani to Tatopani (1100m) which literally mean hot spring that provide a perfect chance for a relaxing bathe.

Day 13: Tatopani to Ghorepani (3210 m) 7 hour
Today we move from Tatopani to Ghorepani steadily climbing all day, we eventually leave behind the terraced fields and walk through thick rhododendron forest to the village of Ghorepani. We camp at the pass for the best views of the sunset over the spectacular, snow-capped Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Range.

Day 14: Trekking, Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m.) to Tadhapani
this is the most significant day of our trek. We start our journey climbing to Poon Hill (3210m) which offers best splendid scenery of sunrise over the high mountains. Lot of White Mountain can be seen from here including Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna South (7119m), Fishtail (6993m), Nilgiri south, Singa chuli, Annapurna I (8091m) and many more peaks. We then descend to Ghorepani and trek to Tadapani for 6 hours. Trek leads mainly up and down hill through the forest. Stay overnight at Tadapani. 

Day 15: Tadapani to Ghandrung (1940 m.)
On this day our journey moves to Ghandruk which takes about 4 hours. It is the most enriching village, the home of Gurung people. The trail mainly passes through forest and goes gentle down. We stay overnight at Ghandruk.

Day 16: Ghandruk to Nayapul  Pokhara
Our trek today, goes down to Nayapul through the cultivated fields in Modi khola valley which takes around 4 hours and drive back to Pokhara in 1 hour.

Day 17:  Pokhara to Kathmandu 
Early in the morning our guide will wake you up and then drive you to the tourist bus station. The bus leaves in the morning to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu, our guide will take you to your selected hotel. 

Day 18: Departure from Nepal as per time
today you depart from this magnificent Himalayan country in Nepal. Hope to see you again.

  3. Extra night Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, early return from mountain (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary.
  4. All Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu (and also Hotel, all the meals in the case of early return from mountain than the scheduled itinerary)
  5. All expenses in mountain over than Scheduled because sometime can be stuck in mountain due to land slide, political strike etc.

Traditional costume of Nepal Talking about traditional costume of Nepal it would be right to say not "costume" but "costumes" because though Nepal is a small country there are many ethnic groups living here and each group has their unique traditional dress. I will tell about a few that I find most interesting. The Newars . This ethnic group has many different styles of dress among themselves but there is one common thing - they prefer combinations of black and red colours. The most common seen Newar woman's dress is the   hakku potashi , a black sari with red borders. Young girls wear it knee level,  but older women prefer to completely cover their legs. The sari is complimented by a white   patuka  wrapped aroud the waist and a cotton shawl wrapped diagonally over the blouse.
