The Everest or Khumbu region is justifiably the most famous of all trekking and mountain regions. Populated by Sherpas, the attractions of this area are the majestic mountains, the high mountain villages, the isolated monasteries, and the local peoples. This area includes the highest mountain in the world, Everest at 8,848m., and many of the world's 8,000m peaks such as Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Makalu. First climbed in 1953, Everest still holds a fascination for many; however the Everest region boasts many more spectacular and beautiful mountains, as well as some of the most rewarding trekking anywhere in the world.

Day 01 Arrival in KathmanduClear Sky Treks Representatives will welcome groups at the Kathmandu Airport with a banner and drop them at the hotel. After check-in at the hotel and refreshments, CST office management personnel and a guide will formally introduce themselves and provide a trip briefing. Group members should submit 2 passport size photos plus a copy of their passport and a copy of Travel insurance to the office personnel.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla & Trek to Phakding(2610m) BLDFly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m.) which takes about 40 minutes, then trek from Lukla to Phakding (2640 m.) which takes approximately three hours following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi.
Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) BLDThe trail continues north up the Dudh Kosi valley to Jorsale, where the trail officially enters the Sagarmatha National Park.. We continue along the trail, cross the Bhote Kosi River and climb steeply to Namche Bazaar 3440 m. Remember to look out for glimpses of Mt.Everest early on the trail.
Day 04 : Rest Day BLDWe have a rest day in Namche Bazaar to acclimatize. This town, the hub of Sherpa society, is the administrative centre of the Khumbu region, several shops selling items of every description and a proliferation of Sherpa inns.
Day 05 : Namche to Tengboche(3860m) BLDTrek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3867 m.) which takes about five hours Tengboche is an important viewpoint on this course, and the sunset on Everest and Ama Dablam is especially beautiful from here. We visit the monastery at Tengboche, the largest monastery in Khumbu region.
Day 06 : Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m) BLDLeave Tyangboche and the Khumbu mountains as a backdrop and descend to a rhododendron-covered area to emerge in a pleasant level area. Pass a long Mani-stone wall to enter the village of Dingboche. From here, the walk is fairly moderate as you enter the Imjatse Valley beneath the mighty peaks of Ama Dablam, Nuptse and Lhotse with views of the eastern snow capped mountains including Island Peak (6,189m).
Day 07: Acclimatization day in Dingboche (B.L.D)This is a remarkable acclimatization day. There are some breathtaking views of the North face of Ama Dablam and the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge as you explore this beautiful valley that leads up to Island Peak. The walk is short with a good chance to relax in the afternoon. You have another option as you can hike upto Chhukum. From here you can enjoy the panoramic view of Island peak, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Tawoche peak and others. On the same day you come back to Dingboche and have rest.
Day 08 : Dingboche to Lobuche(4910m) BLD The trail ascends the broad, gently sloping valley and climbs steeply into the terminal moraine of the Khumbu glaciers. It then crosses the bridge and climbs higher on the moraine to a row of stone monuments erected in memory of many Sherpas and foreign mountaineers who have died climbing Everest before reaching Lobuche (4910m.)
Day 09 Lobuche – Everest Base Camp(5337m) – Gorakshep (5140m) / 6hrs) BLD While trekking to Everest Base Camp you pass through a trail, which weaves its way through ice pinnacles and past the crevasses of the Khumbu Glacier. During the spring season, you can meet some expedition team on the Everest Base Camp. The number of team is less in the autumn season. On the return leg, you can take a higher route to get a spectacular view of the Khumbu icefall and numerous mountains. You return to Gorak Shep to stay overnight
Day 10 Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m.) to Pheriche (4240m.) 5 hrs BLD Early morning climb to Kala Patthar (5545m.) and enjoy the view of sunrise. From Kala Patthar you can have a panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more. Then trek down to Pheriche . Pheriche is in the shadow of Everest Base Camp.
Day 11: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (B.L.D) 5 hrsTrek from Pheriche to namche which takes approximately four hours. Enjoy a morning visit to the research center. Then you trek back to Namche, an easier descent passing through rhododendron forest & few steep climbs for an hour from the bridge at Phungitenga, near to Shanasha. The walk to Namche is very scenic on a long winding path. En route you will visit traditional villages of Khumjung and Khunde. There is an opportunity to visit one of its monasteries, the only monastery that has a Yeti Scalp.
Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (B.L.D) 5 hrsTrek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla and it takes about five hours. The last day of your trek leads from Namche Bazaar via Monjo to Lukla. The trek is pleasant, except for few short uphill climbs and then down to the Bhote-Koshi River crossing it three times. The last uphill climb of 45 minutes will bring you to Lukla ..
Day 13 : Fly to Kathmandu B 30 minFly from Lukla to Kathmandu. You take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu which takes approximately 40 minutes. Check-in at hotel, this is the free day enjoy yourself on Rickshaw ride & Shopping at Thamel or Sightseeing can be done on request.
Day 14 : Free Day of your own BDThis is the free day and you can use it for your shopping. In the Evening we will drive you to fare well Dinner in Nepali cultural restaurant.
Day 15 : Departure to Airport. BAll too soon it's time to bid Nepal farewell and one realizes that we can never be intimate, only acquainted with this amazing adventure Himalaya.

- A non - refundable deposit of 30 percent must be paid at time of booking and booking form must be completed.
- Final payment is due 45 days prior to departure.
- Travel insurance with unlimited medical cover is compulsory for all trips to Nepal.
- A visa for Nepal is to be obtained prior to departure from your home country or can obtain in Kathamndu airport, please note your passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after your return and 2 passport size picture needed.
Cancellation Fees
If cancellation in writing is received by Clear Sky Treks more than 45 days prior to departure, the non-refundable deposit will be retained (maximum 10% of total land price) plus any air cancellation fees that may apply
If cancellation is received within 45 days of departure, the following per person cancellation fees will apply:
15 - 45 days prior to departure: 25% of total price
7 - 14 days prior to departure: 35% of total price
Less than 7 days prior to departure: 50% of total price (except for the total cost of government fees)
On departure day or later: 100% of total price.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary, but as this is adventure travel in a remote mountain region, we cannot guarantee it! Weather conditions and the health of trekkers can all contribute to changes. The guides and their Sherpa assistants will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if necessary.
Accommodation on the trek
You are accommodating in teahouses whilst on trek. A teahouse is a local run guesthouse will be simple twin or triple share rooms in lodges, and toilets and showers will be of varying standards. In popular areas such as Everest, teahouses are more like hotels, with hot water, Western food and private rooms are also available
Food :
Mostly Nepali rice & lentile, pasta, potato dishes, soups and pizzas for lunch or dinner. Delicious pancakes, porridge, toast and eggs are the main breakfast fare, while tea, coffee and hot chocolate are always available. You will probably be pleasantly surprised at the variety of food at the lodges.
Physical Fitness
There are a lot of steep ascents and descents on the trek and a good level of fitness is required, as some days you may be required to walk up to 6 hours, please note that the estimated walking time each day will vary according to the fitness of the group and the weather conditions.
Footwear: Well broken-in walking shoes - these must be suitable for snow, thick socks, light socks, camp shoes.
Clothing : Down or fiber filled waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton trousers or jeans, shirts and T-shirts, shorts, long underwear, wool hat, sun hat, gloves, bathing suit, track suit.
Shopping: For our valued clients, we can give guidelines as well as provide trekking equipments at very cheap price if they need during trekking. Comparatively, those equipments are cheaper in Nepal than in foreign lands. Also, after trekking if you are planning to buy some gifts for your family & friends who are in their home country (we hope they will be happy to see native Nepalese gifts) and if you are confused, again there we are to help you and recommend you.
