ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP  GHOREPANI TREK (15 DAYS)

Description : 15 days of trekking starting from Nayapul over Ghorepani and climbing Poon Hill (3193 m) to the Annapurna Base-Camp. Back . Ending point is Milanchok from there by bus to Pokhara.

Deepest point : Birethanti, 1025 m
Highest point : Annapurna Base-Camp, 4130 m

Main difficulties : In the winter season this trek can be impassable because of snow and avalanches.

Equipment : In the upper part there are only a few possibilities of accommodation, in the lower part there are many lodges and tea houses.

Best time : October - November; April - May

Object of interest : Different climates from lowland villages and rice terraces to glaciers. 
Flora and Fauna. 

Starting point : By flight or by bus to Pokhara thereafter by bus to Nayapul.

Day 01 : From Kathmandu to Pokhara by bus 0.0 km (820 m)
Day 02 : Pokhara to Nayapul by bus and trek to Tirkedunga 9.6 km (1540 m)
Day 03 : Tirkedunga to Ghorepani 9.4 km (2750 m)
Day 04 : Ghorepani climbing Poonhill (3193 m) and trek to Tadapani 11.7 km (2590 m)
Day 05 : Tadapani to Chomrong 9.8 km (2170 m)
Day 06 : Chomrong to Bamboo 5.8 km (2335 m)
Day 07 : Bamboo to Deurali 5.8 km (3100 m)
Day 08 : Deurali to Machhapuchhre BC 3.9 km (3700 m)
Day 09 : Machhapuchhre BC to Annapurna BC 3.0 km (4130 m)
Day 10 : Annapurna BC to Bamboo 12.7 km (2335 m)
Day 11 : Bamboo to Chomrong 5.8 km (2170 m)
Day 12 : Chomrong to Landrung 7.5 km (1640 m)
Day 13 : Landrung to Dhampus 11.6 km (1770 m)
Day 14 : Dhampus to Milanchok and by bus to Pokhara 2.3 km (820 m)
Day 15 :  Pokhara to Kathmandu by bus or flight

Price includes:

All airport transfers; trekking permit and national park fee; transportation from Kathmandu to Pokhara by local or tourist bus while on trekking accommodation and all food like breakfast, lunch and dinner; tea or coffee with the meals; an English speaking guide and porters; equipment for guide and porters; insurance for staff and porters.

Price excludes:

All expenses of personal nature, bottled and alcoholic beverage; Nepal entry visa fee; airport departure tax; air ticket reconfirmation fee; personal insurance; emergency air rescue; if a trip is delayed because of bad weather and if flights are cancelled or delayed or any other circumstances beyond our control, should occur the company will not make provisions and the extra cost has to be covered by the individual or group; medical supplies; accommodation and food in Kathmandu.

Traditional costume of Nepal Talking about traditional costume of Nepal it would be right to say not "costume" but "costumes" because though Nepal is a small country there are many ethnic groups living here and each group has their unique traditional dress. I will tell about a few that I find most interesting. The Newars . This ethnic group has many different styles of dress among themselves but there is one common thing - they prefer combinations of black and red colours. The most common seen Newar woman's dress is the   hakku potashi , a black sari with red borders. Young girls wear it knee level,  but older women prefer to completely cover their legs. The sari is complimented by a white   patuka  wrapped aroud the waist and a cotton shawl wrapped diagonally over the blouse.
